Budhvar Vrat Katha Starts

Once upon a time, Shaunak etc. sages gathered at naimishaarany forest and said to Shree Sutaji, the principal disciple of the great Vyas and penetrater of the Purana,- “O great sage! You have told us many beautiful religious stories that are going to destroy all the physical, divine and physical sultriness. Now clarify any fasting law of grace that can destroy all the sins of human beings and provide a strong inspiration for Bhagwat Bhakti.”
Sri Sut Jee said-“O Rishis! I cannot clearly explain the law of such a rare and best fast, because the subject is impassable and deep. However I tell you a beautiful history in front of you, listen to it carefully. Emperor Mandhata had asked this question to Maharishi Vasisht like all of you.”
