16 Monday Fast Starts || FIRST CHAPTER ||
After worship, offer one part in three parts of flour mixture to God Shiva and distribute the remaining two parts as a Prasad to the women, men and children present there. While fasting in this way, when sixteen Mondays have passed, then on the seventeenth Monday, make a wheat flour baati, add ghee and jaggery in it and make it churma.
Then offer that churma to God Shiva as a naivedya and after that distribute it to the women, men and children present there. In this way, God Shiva will fulfill all your wishes by destroying your leprosy by fasting on sixteen Mondays and listening to the vrat story. " Saying this, the nymphs went to heaven.
The priest duly fasted for sixteen Mondays according to the statement of the Apsaras and as a result, his leprosy was destroyed with the grace of Lord Shiva. The king again made him a priest of the temple. A Brahmin priest worshiping God Shiva in the temple & began to live happily.
